I have finally found a full time job and loving it. It is another surgery center, just downstairs from where I have been working per diem for the past 2+ years.
Her are some updates:
Mom and Dad are selling their house in anticipation of going into independent living.
Hopefully even with the market the way it is, it won't take forever to sell. Dad isn't doing as well as we would like, but what can I say. Mom is holding up well, considering she never thought that she would end up being the care giver.
Jason, my eldest made Chief Petty Officer in the Navy and has been reassigned a new boat. Still no babies in the future.
Aaron is almost finished with his second year of medical school at FAU/ University of Miami.
Scott is finishing up his third year at medical school at USYIS, the military medical school in Bethesda, Md.
My niece, Heather, is finishing up her undergraduate work at University of Miami and her brother, Brian, will be having his Bar Mitzvah this May.
Ed, my DH, is still working in the paint business, and trap shooting every Sunday morning.
Thanks to Facebook, I have found some friends that I have lost contact with over the years. What a trip it is going down memory lane with them.
I will hopefully be able to post on a slide, my layouts that I have done in the past.
It is a sad day for scrap bookers here in Boca Raton. Our favorite store is closing its doors as of today. I wish the owner, Pamela, the very best. This is where I learned to scrap book many years ago, and have always gone there for all my papers and embellishments. My BFF, Ginni and I have been going there for years for crops. We now have to find a new home to crop at. It will be difficult as this was fairly central to both of us.
Right now I am working on a few projects. One is a baby album for my neighbor and the other is to finish up this past thanksgiving. I am hoping to manage my time better with working full time and getting things done around the house and finding time to scrap. It is a challenge. Time management and energy are my main problems. I will just have to give it time (and also keeping off the computer more).
I am also still in the process of learning how to use my Mac. I love it. The quality of my photos is amazing. I am learning new things with every class including computer generated hybrid cards. This is exciting for the conventional scrapper. Never thought that I would get into the digi world.
I will try to update at least once a week for everyone. Hope that you are all having a good year.
